"Most Promising Project" Award at the WeGo 2014

Beyoğlu Municipality's "Social Card and Food Banking" project, developed in collaboration with SAMPAŞ, has been awarded as the Most Promising Project.

Beyoğlu Municipality’s ‘Social Card and Food Banking’ project which was developed together with the technical support of SAMPAŞ, has been awarded as the “Most Promising Project” under the services category  of “Smart Cities” competition at WeGo Awards given by the World e-Governments Organization which is presided by Won Soon Park, the Mayor of Seoul, South Korea, between the dates of 3-6 November 2014.

Some of the most significant world cities like Barcelona, Hong Kong, Seoul, City of Singapore, Seoul, Helsinki and Bangalore were also awarded in other categories of the awards.

Ahmet Misbah Demircan, the Mayor of Beyoğlu Municipality, has attended to the award ceremony with his colleagues from 67 different cities in 34 different countries.

The project has the feature of being the first project of the world which is designed to provide qualified service to citizens in need of social aid by the help of latest information technologies.
