SAMPAS at MIPIM 2017
SAMPAS participated MIPIM 2017, the meeting point of the largest real estate investors and branded cities held between 14-17 March 2017 in Cannes, France.
Turkey was represented with a total 1.700 sqm area in the fair which brought 21.400 participants together from 89 countries within 20.000 sqm last year. MIPIM 2017 brought investors and large cities of Turkey; Antalya, Balikesir, Hatay, Kocaeli, Konya, Beyoglu and also with the leadership of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce; Istanbul’s mega projects for tourism, logistics, industry and urban transformation together. Visitors had the opportunity to see Smart City Kepez Central project up close, among the largest urban transformation projects of Turkey with an area of 1.4 million sqm of which infrastructure and construction works are still in progress in the stand of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
Some of the projects exhibited by our 8 metropolitan cities in their own stands in MIPIM 2017 are as follows:
Antalya: Exhibited Kepezaltı Central Urban Transformation Project, Cruise Port Project, Kaleici Marina, Bogacayi Marina & Creek Project and Konyaalti Seaside Renovation, large scale projects for sport and upland tourism and the projects developed to take an important place in world film industry.
Istanbul: In Istanbul pavilion which is increased from 300 m2 to 685 sqm, along with Istanbul mock-up, lots of projects developed by private and public sector will take place.
Balikesir: Many projects are exhibited including Bandırma Organized Industrial Zone, Ayvalik Cruise Harbour, Sarımsaklı Coast Beach Arrangement, Port Gomec, Tuzla Onu Project and Ayvalık Bridge.
Kocaeli: Participated in the fair with many real estate and tourism projects including a large wellness center with a marina with 540 yacht anchor capacity.
Konya: Took place in MIPIM with Mevlana Culture Valley, Metro Konya, Meram Lift, Karapinar Solar Specialization Industry, Large Wind Power Generation Plant, Vegetable and Fruit Wholesale Market Hall, Organized Agriculture and Livestock Region and recreation, wellness centre and transformation projects.
4.800 investors, 3.600 CEOs and board chairman, 3.500 developers, 2.400 local governments and cities, 1500 architects and planners and 2450 stands participated in the fair which is the only world-wide activity bringing all actors from real estate value chains. More than 250 sessions held in the fair representing 89 countries participated. MIPIM 2017, held in Cannes, France on 14 March till 17 March.
